Experiment: Day 2 Wash and go - Tightly Curly Method

This morning I woke to smooshed hair(I should take a pic of my morning hair).  I spritzed with my water/aloe vera juice/condish spritz.  I let that penetrate and I shook my head.  My curls popped out and got full.  While my hair was damp I put some melted coconut oil on my hands and scrunched the oil into my damp curls.  I did not do much 'rubbing' the coconut oil on my hair b/c I didn't want to make frizz but scrunched.  I let it air dry.    I may have spritz a little too much this morning b/c my hair has shrunk up some.  It's also starting to get frizzy.  I don't know what's up with those straight pieces of hair but that's what my hair does when I shake it.  Maybe I shouldn't shake so hard :-)  My hair is not as crunchy today as it was yesterday.  Some curls still have good hold.  I love that!  But other parts are not crunchy and lose definition...don't like that!

Nighttime routine tonight is wrap with silk scarf.  I'm gonna have to figure out something to refresh it in the morning.  I'll probably smooth some conditioner and water on the frizzy parts(as per TC method).  My roots are soft but not as defined as yesterday.  I like the fuller look but don't like the undefined frizz.  This may just be the nature of my natural hair and it's just something I'll have to get used to...fullness and less defined curls.

I'm feeling the real urge to wash this condish out of my hair and do this method again with my Tresemme Naturals.  I'm wondering if these results are what they are b/c of the product I used(Tresemme Flawless Curls w/ silicones) or was it the technique(smoothing and raking until each curl is defined) or both.  I'm not going to be able to rest until I try this technique with my non-silicone products.  The jury is still out on if my hair likes or even needs silicones or not.  I really don't like how my hair feels although I like the hold my curls have.  I don't know what is giving that feel to my hair.  Even the parts of my hair that are 'soft' still have a 'crinkly' feel.

Here are the results:
