Updates for weeks 1 and 2 in April 2013

Howdy y'all!!

It's been about 3 weeks since I've posted new pics of my hair.  The major reason for that is b/c I'm not styling my hair any differently than I have done in previous photos so it can get kind of monotonous posting pics that look pretty much the same. But don't think nothing is going on b/c I cleanse(either with water, conditioner, sulfate-free shampoo or apple cider vinegar) and condition my hair every week.  I have been doing a bit of experimenting and trying out some new products on my hair.

My hair is getting longer so I'm having to (re)adjust myself to detangling and detangling thoroughly...sigh...I guess the days of just running my fingers through my hair (like when it was a twa) are over!  I have to section and shingle (or rake) and in some places in my hair the sections have to be small sections b/c my hair is so dense/thick in certain areas.  So detangling is taking longer than it used to.  I find I  pay the price with worse tangles the next week if I do a 'quickie' detangle the prior week.  I've stopped washing my hair over the sink, upside down.  I think that contributes to more tangles in MY hair, that is, so I do everything in the shower under the running water.  I can detangle out of the shower standing at my bathroom sink and take my time and get all the tangles out.  I have to use a water spray bottle to keep my hair wet but that's better than running all the hot water out of the hot water heater!!!

I'm also revisiting old standby's and hopefully adding to my staple products as I've kind of fallen in love with one of my new products.  I've used it twice and I still really like it so we'll see.  I don't think I'll be using it every week b/c it gets the buildup off of my hair really well so I think I'm gonna have to slow down and use it maybe twice a month or once a month.

Here is a video that gives all the deets!

Here are the recipes that are talked about in the video.
